A Medicine Basket

81331 01 A Medicine BasketLaughter, they say, is the best medicine, and it’s not too hard to understand why.  Good spirits do make you feel better.   Studies have shown that it does promote healing in some ways, helps you eat more, and gives you the will to persevere though the process of recovery.  It certainly helps to know that there are people around you that are thinking about you and want you to be well.  Creating a good sense of well-being and purpose is key to a positive attitude about things and this leads to a shorter time being ill or recovering at a hospital.  To this end when someone you know is recovering from an illness or an injury, you might consider a gift other than just flowers and balloons.  Why not festoon them with a gift basket?  The Doctor’s Orders Basket is a humorous way to keep up a person’s spirits while somewhat complying with the instructions of the attending physician.  It comes with a large aspirin tablet, cookies, candies and snacks, as well as a word search puzzle book to keep the patient occupied rather than watching day-time soaps and game shows all day, all wrapped in a gorgeous basket designed in the fashion of a medical bag.  Unique gift baskets are tailored for just about any occasion and are just the kind of thing to brighten anyone’s mood especially when they’re not feeling too well.  Picnic baskets offer a great alternative to the standard gift fare, as since everyone likes snacks and such you know they’ll get used quickly.  Ultimately, it’s the good cheer that you give to someone; it’s just that it comes in a nice basket.

Go Ducks!

lg mal oregon u emb Go Ducks! For any Ducks fan, going to Autzen Stadium to watch the University of Oregon play football is a tremendous experience.  Autzen Stadium is one of the loudest venues in the nation.  When the Ducks score, the noise can get downright deafening.  The school spirit on display at University of Oregon is something to be witnessed if you’ve never seen it first-hand.  Oregon has no professional football franchise of its own, so Oregonians gravitate to the two principle college football teams for their own home football relief.  Going to the big game, either at home or away, is an awesome experience, and it’s even better when you can set up a tail-gating session before, during, and after the game when everyone else is jamming I-5 in both directions to get home.  Pack your food and gear in style with the University of Oregon Insulated Picnic Backpack.  This backpack has enough space to keep your food and beverages nice and cool, along with real plates, napkins, and wine glasses and a cheese board and flatware to make your party a touch beyond contributing to the Eugene, Oregon landfills.  It makes a great gift to any Oregon student or alumni, and if by chance you know someone who hails from another school, there are more NCAA College Picnic Backpacks to choose from that’ll make them happy.  Good picnic baskets can keep you organized and your party well-fed for the big game at Autzen or anywhere the Ducks may play this and any other year.   Just remember that in Oregon it does get a little wet – but never take an umbrella.

A Convenient Way to Commune with Nature

tn 9124 A Convenient Way to Commune with NatureToday’s global fight against climate change is all the more reason for us to integrate our recreational activities with outdoor adventures. Being one with nature can make us appreciate the planet more than ever. By communing with the rest of the living world, we get to realize that despite global warming, we can still find hope in nature’s pure beauty.

It does not take too much modification in our lifestyle to reorient ourselves with the environment especially now that there are convenient means to enjoy the outdoors.

Going on a picnic is one of the easiest and closest ways we could commune with nature—be it at the nearby park or somewhere in the countryside. It’s as simple as spending time with our friends and family while eating our favorite food, playing games and chatting about the good times.

As much as possible, we want to be comfortable while having that special time with our loved ones. So we choose the best picnic table that sits us all or we would rather opt for some picnic blankets we can spread out under the shade of an oak tree.

Many of those who consider themselves nature lovers and outdoor people prefer the outdoorsman blanket & carrier. With such convenience, you can go spend your day with all things natural, not minding the hassles brought about by modern-day living.

After all, a life lived natural is a life lived to its fullest. So seize everything that the world has to offer and by doing so, assume your responsibility as the steward of these serendipitous wonders. Let us not allow the extinction of the things that are keeping us alive in mind, body, and spirit.

Bring Your Food Outdoors Fresh and Healthy

Posted on August 27th, 2009 by admin  |  No Comments »

tn 544 00 Bring Your Food Outdoors Fresh and HealthyOne seems to wonder about the need to own rolling coolers if you don’t have any plans to sell ice cold items in the street during a hot summer day. But if you come to think of it, the Metro Kart Rolling Cooler can really come in handy whenever we have outdoor activities with our friends and family.

A nice sunny morning at the beach, for example, would be more refreshing if we have fresh fruit juices to drink while we get our bodies tanned naturally. If you are skeptic about the fruit juices sold at the nearby fast food chain or bar, then bringing along with you some of that extracted juices straight from your kitchen should be one of your top priority. It is not wrong to stay healthy and to choose healthy. We should not think of it as a luxury. If we need good food and beverages even when we’re outside the comforts of our homes, we shouldn’t allow anything to stop us.

Both the morning sun and fresh food are good for the health. We can always have both by setting up a breakfast date with our friends and family at the park after we go jogging or play a sport. Bring along a nice picnic table and a rolling cooler to keep our fish and barbeque fresh until they hit the grille and you’ll have the healthiest breakfast picnic ever.

The Metro Kart Rolling Cooler has several uses. Imagine how you could make the most out of this zippered cooler made of polyester micro-fiber. Aren’t you excited?

Picnic Blankets Complete the Day

tn 802 00 Picnic Blankets Complete the DayPeople think of picnics as a less of a romantic getaway. But try to ponder more: getting your loved one with you for a picnic, is in itself romantic. It’s like stalking away from the bustling sound of the city, of the corporate world, of the ever-so-challenging family life.

You just have to pull your act well in setting up a picnic for your partner. Portable picnic table is not as good as a picnic blanket, to begin with. The latter is easy to carry, no need to strain those muscles of yours. With a little help from other picnic supplies like a thermal lunch box and a wine cooler or coffee flask, your date will surely end with both of you having a blast. Imagine serving your love hot meals in a soft stylish picnic blanket while you’re in a secluded place; that will be an unforgettable moment.

Don’t like the woods, how about hitting the beach? Playing with the sand at your feet, you and your wife basking in the sun, getting a sexy tan, lying on a beachcomber beach mat, and getting into the water to cool off, could anything be as soothing as that? That sounds like a perfect picture and it’s not like you’d be spending a lot of money on it either. Go to a public beach, bring your blanket or  picnic totes; pack lunch, your wife will surely get a kick out of it.

Don’t like the beach either, how about just lying at your backyard with a picnic blanket underneath, gazing at the stars? That sounds perfect for those who don’t really have time to be away from the kids. After putting the kids to bed, pull out your picnic blanket and lay it under a tree or beside your Jacuzzi or pool. If you don’t have any of these, just place it anywhere, it doesn’t matter as long as the area isn’t too rocky. Turn off all the lights and start gazing at the twinkling glow that is left in the sky. Drink a glass of wine or two and you’ll now have a real romantic night to remember after years of tending to all stressful family matters.

tn 688 03 Right Picnic AccessoryToday’s most definitely a nice day to go out and get in touched with nature; summer air, birds chirping, flowers blooming, shady trees and the smell of summer romance. What could be sweeter than that?

Imagine taking your girlfriend to the woods and bringing home cooked meals with wine on the side. Seems impossible? Not with the help of the perfect picnic accessories. You can buy picnic supplies online and choose the right picnic accessory for you. You don’t necessarily have to bring your womanly picnic basket; there are now picnic backpacks available online with a touch of masculinity. It can store your cooked meals, plates, glass and even your wine for that touch of romance.

You can choose to sit in a picnic table, but it sounds less romantic. Setting up a picnic blanket tote on a grassy surface sounds much more fun and tune in with nature. Getting a wine holder like a  metro wine box can keep your wine just at the right temperature. You can sit and sip while you and your date gaze at each other’s eyes.

Not the wine type? How about a hot fresh brewed coffee? Wine is not the only romantic drink on earth. Coffee is sexier. Stainless vacuum flask can store your coffee fresh and hot while you backpack alone the woods. Coffee shows you’re sensitive enough. You can spend time with each other, drinking hot coffee, feeding each other deserts, and spending hours talking about what the future unfolds.

Whatever you’re into, there is a perfect accessory that suits your need for backpacking and spending hours with your loved one.

Pack It In

tn 066SC Pack It InKids love going out outdoors. The trouble is, parents want to go outdoors to catch a little sun, but kids can be hard to manage sometimes. Many kids love going out for a picnic on Sundays that is why you should make it your Sunday habit to pack lunch and have picnic at a park somewhere. Better to have a checklist of everything that is needed on a picnic because it’s so easy to forget things like plates and cups because they are minor details when you want to do a picnic for four. Not to mention you have to make sure that you’ve packed everything that the kids will need.

Another problem you might have is organizing everything and putting everything in one handy bag. There’s always the picnic basket but sometimes it can be too bulky and difficult to carry around. The Santa Cruz picnic backpack cooler for four will be a good solution to this packing problem.

The picnic backpack contains an insulated wine holder, & removable waterproof liner for Thermal Shield™ cool compartment, which is ideal for keeping drinks cool during the drive from the house to the park. It also includes combination corkscrew, hardwood cutting board with juice groovse, cheese knife, wooden salt & pepper shakers with non spill tops, acrylic wine glasses, coordinating melamine plates, stainless steel flatware and cotton napkins, which are all we need to get settled in the picnic area. Everything’s in one place and everything’s organized. No need to worry about leaving anything behind.

Have A Picnic Anywhere With a Foldable Picnic Table

Posted on May 11th, 2009 by admin  |  No Comments »

<!–[endif]–>

My best friend from college and I have stayed together over the years. We had boyfriends together, got broken hearted together, and finally got married and even ended up being neighbors! Not next-door neighbors which would have been very ideal for us, but a few houses away. We take turns in hosting dinners and lunches, though she sometimes says I am on the losing end since her family is bigger. I don’t mind, really, I just love having her and the family over. We love to travel together, of course with the family, and our husbands and children have naturally become close, too. We always have our annual out-of-town affair, which is always special for both of us. She has a big family with four kids, and I just have one boy – though I swear sometimes it feels like I have six sons on my hand! Anyway, whenever we travel or go to the park, we always bring our folding wooden picnic table, which comes very handy, indeed.

A Picnic Anywhere!

A Picnic Anywhere!

We love spending time together, that’s why we both invested in some picnic backpacks and supplies. The hours of fun and laughter more than make up for the amount we have paid for each of our picnic tables. Sometimes, we just picnic at each other’s lawn with a nice pitcher of lemonade, or play cards, or just people watch, when we have nothing else to do. I wonder if there’s a folding picnic table which can sit six? That will be ideal for my best friend! I need to start looking now for Christmas!
