This has been an amazing decade for the Boise State Broncos. Out of a tradition that isn’t particularly known for football, Boise State, under the tutelege of head coach Chris Petersen, has gone from being nothing to ranked 5th for this upcoming 2010 college football season. In one of the greatest football games ever, at the 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, they beat the mighty Oklahoma Sooners in a nail-biting 43-42 in double overtime, effectively solidifying a place in college football history. Their subsequent victories over the Oregon Ducks two years in a row, and their latest victory over TCU in the 2010 Fiesta Bowl has made the Broncos a football program worth watching for the next decade. Fans of the Broncos had better prepare for serious tailgating now, and they couldn’t do much better than to sport a Boise State Deluxe Picnic Backpack. This backpack features actual plates and flatware so there’s no added trash to throw away, and it is insulated to keep your food and beverages hot and cold on your way to and during the game. College picnic supplies such as this backpack are great for tailgating and catering your own Saturday football get-togethers at home to support your favorite college teams as they make their way through what looks to be a very interesting season. Picnic baskets are stylish and useful for both yourself and as gifts, especially to college students who could use something that’ll keep their food warm or cold on the go in style. Every team that’s playing the Broncos this year has them in their sights to beat, so do what you can to keep this new contender’s spirits up and cheer them on to victory after victory.

Sometimes, all you want to do is spend a day or an evening outdoors doing something you love without a whole lot of hassle. Maybe you just want to relax with a good book, a lovely companion, fresh air and nice weather, all away from the day to day routine of traffic, noise, work, or school. All without a big deal of planning for a large gathering of family with children. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but sometimes it’s just good to be out there relaxing either by yourself or with those that you know don’t require a lot of supervision. Nor do you want to have to stop what you’re doing to go out for a bite to eat. Leaving a scenic, quiet place like that could take hours out of your day that would be better spend turning pages or taking a nap. What you need is a cooler to take your food and beverages with you so you don’t have to get up and go anywhere else once you get to your site. A Collapsable Multi-Purpose Cooler has enough space to carry four wine bottles or nine bottles of beer, and comes complete with a waiter’s friend cork screw. Tailgating gear and picnic baskets, such as this, come in larger sizes with actual plates and cutlery to give your own private adventure something to savor and enjoy, without making a whole lot of trash to have to carry away. So while the spring and summer lasts, take any chance you can to get away from whatever grinds you and relax.

A great bottle of wine is a thing to treasure. It is, however, a treasure that one day must be drank to ultimately appreciated. The only sense in keeping a bottle of wine for years or decades without drinking it is that you have multiple bottles of the same label and vintage. That way you can pass off the experience of a great bottle like that to another generation who’ll come to appreciate it, or sell it at a tidy profit to those who likewise will appreciate it. A great wine isn’t necessarily indicated by its price, nor its label, or vintage, but an artistic combination of elements that come together to make it a great wine. When you’ve found one that you like and wish to give to another connoisseur, it would be most fitting to present it in such a way that shows that the wine is not only special but that the recipient is equally so. A Wine Cabinet Gift Set is a grand way to show off your preferred pinot noir or chardonnay that captivates the senses to the fact that it not only has its own case, but comes complete a small collection of wine accessories to open it, including a cork borer just in case the cork doesn’t come out just right. This is a perfect way to display a fine bottle of wine amidst a collection, in a cellar, or as a gift to those who appreciate wine as much as you do. And when you do pop that open to sample in a tasting, a selection of fine picnic baskets can help you relish the experience with fellow connoisseurs in the style that such an event deserves.

Laughter, they say, is the best medicine, and it’s not too hard to understand why. Good spirits do make you feel better. Studies have shown that it does promote healing in some ways, helps you eat more, and gives you the will to persevere though the process of recovery. It certainly helps to know that there are people around you that are thinking about you and want you to be well. Creating a good sense of well-being and purpose is key to a positive attitude about things and this leads to a shorter time being ill or recovering at a hospital. To this end when someone you know is recovering from an illness or an injury, you might consider a gift other than just flowers and balloons. Why not festoon them with a gift basket? The Doctor’s Orders Basket is a humorous way to keep up a person’s spirits while somewhat complying with the instructions of the attending physician. It comes with a large aspirin tablet, cookies, candies and snacks, as well as a word search puzzle book to keep the patient occupied rather than watching day-time soaps and game shows all day, all wrapped in a gorgeous basket designed in the fashion of a medical bag. Unique gift baskets are tailored for just about any occasion and are just the kind of thing to brighten anyone’s mood especially when they’re not feeling too well. Picnic baskets offer a great alternative to the standard gift fare, as since everyone likes snacks and such you know they’ll get used quickly. Ultimately, it’s the good cheer that you give to someone; it’s just that it comes in a nice basket.

For any Ducks fan, going to Autzen Stadium to watch the University of Oregon play football is a tremendous experience. Autzen Stadium is one of the loudest venues in the nation. When the Ducks score, the noise can get downright deafening. The school spirit on display at University of Oregon is something to be witnessed if you’ve never seen it first-hand. Oregon has no professional football franchise of its own, so Oregonians gravitate to the two principle college football teams for their own home football relief. Going to the big game, either at home or away, is an awesome experience, and it’s even better when you can set up a tail-gating session before, during, and after the game when everyone else is jamming I-5 in both directions to get home. Pack your food and gear in style with the University of Oregon Insulated Picnic Backpack. This backpack has enough space to keep your food and beverages nice and cool, along with real plates, napkins, and wine glasses and a cheese board and flatware to make your party a touch beyond contributing to the Eugene, Oregon landfills. It makes a great gift to any Oregon student or alumni, and if by chance you know someone who hails from another school, there are more NCAA College Picnic Backpacks to choose from that’ll make them happy. Good picnic baskets can keep you organized and your party well-fed for the big game at Autzen or anywhere the Ducks may play this and any other year. Just remember that in Oregon it does get a little wet – but never take an umbrella.

Whether or not you’re new to savoring the varieties and nuances that wine has to offer, a wine tasting is a great way to introduce others to this ancient industry in a way perhaps many have never before experienced. If you are relatively new at this, it is suggested that you pick two types of wine, red and white, in particular a certain grape varietal such as pinot noir or chardonnay, and select a number of labels for each varietal. In this way you will get a good sampling of the range that winemakers can have on a particular species of grape and this in and of itself will open a whole world to the newcomers. You’re going to want to serve cheeses and other hors d’oeurves, as they would go well with the wine, but also certain cheeses can act as a good palate cleanser between each sampling so that each guest can get the best expression they can out of the sample. Once you’ve hosted your own wine tastings, you’ll find that they’re not hard at all to put together, and with the right equipment you can host one just about anywhere at anytime. With a wide variety of elegant and tasteful styles of wine picnic backpacks to choose from, you can host such events wherever you like. The Aegean Picnic Backpack Cooler for Four is a marvelous way to keep your wine properly chilled on the go, and comes complete with fine plates and flatware, a cheese board, wine glasses, and other accessories for you to enjoy your passion for wines in style at any venue you wish. Such picnic baskets offer a pleasant utility that can’t be matched with simple coolers, and are a fantastic way to share your love of good wine with good company.

It saves money to make and bring your own lunches to work or class. But the problem with standard paper lunch bags is that you basically get what you pay for. All that does is carry your food and whatever else you have in there. It’s not insulated, so your food will get too warm or cold wherever you store it. It’s not organized, so in the course of going to work or to class things jostle around, damaging or smashing things, and sooner or later, the next thing you know, you’ve got a mess. A lunch pail would be nicer, but most aren’t insulated and again, not organized, so you’ve simply traded paper for plastic or metal, possibly with some cartoons on it. Take a look at the Multi Pocket Classic Insulated Tote. With this lunch bag you’re not kidding around no more. Thermal insulated to keep your food at the right temperature, this bag has room and places for napkins, flatware, drinks and food to transport and store securely. This comes with a convenient shoulder strap to help you keep your hands free for other things, and a zippered opening. Naturally, it’ll occur to you that a lunch bag like this needn’t only be for lunch at work. You can use this excellent bag as a picnic basket to take with you anywhere; to the beach, the big game, fishing or hunting, and is excellent for hikers. Something this useful would be an outstanding gift that you know will get a lot of use, which are often the best gifts of all.

When you plan your next tailgating party at the big game, there are a lot of reasons why you want to avoid bringing a charcoal grill and instead bring a gas one. For one, charcoal is messy. You have to lug a bag of charcoal with you to the game, and once you’re done using it you have to dispose of the ashes somehow. That, of course, is if you have all the time to not only let it heat up correctly to the right temperature range to cook at, but also to let it cool off to the point you can safely dispose of the stuff without causing an accidental blaze. This means you cannot leave your smoldering charcoal grill even for a second, and that’s why they’re not allowed to be used at most sports venues. Gas is ultimately cheaper, cleaner, and safer. However, they can be bigger than a standard charcoal grill, with their big propane tanks and other amenities. Well, not any longer. The Portagrillo Portable Gas Grill has everything you need to hold your own tailgating party in style, comfort, and safety in a nice, compact package that gives you all the space you need to grill with. This portable grill uses propane, so you can turn it on and expect the heat to be there quickly and turn it off safely whenever you’re done with it. With this and other tailgating gear and picnic baskets you can host a fun party anywhere and anytime, cleanly and safely, and have all the time to enjoy the party itself with friends and family, rather than watching a fire burn out.

Going to a big game at the stadium is far more preferable than watching a game on TV. The energy and excitement cannot be matched on the big screen, even if your team is winning by the skin of their teeth. The difference is like night and day, and it’s worth it even if you have to endure cold and nasty weather in places like Green Bay and Pittsburgh with open air stadiums. What’s more, not all of these places have real, actual seats. Many of them are simple bleachers, especially at basketball arenas and college stadiums. With a Stadium Seat With Fleece Blanket you can go to the game in comfort and style whether you’re at the nose-bleed seats or along the fifty yard line. This leather cushioned seat adjusts for comfort and stability on any bleacher, folds neatly, and is easily portable. The fleece blanket is perfect to ward off the cold of an outdoor game or some of the rigorous air conditioning that some indoor arenas offer, and is ubiquitous enough to serve as a lovely picnic blanket at the tailgating party that occurs before, during, and after the game, and goes well on standard picnics. With a wide variety of quality picnic blankets and picnic baskets to choose from you can go to any game in style and comfort and enjoy your time there, all without freezing to death or catching a cold. They make excellent gifts for any sports fan, be they season ticket holders or parents at the high school games with their own home athletes they love to follow.
