Nothing Beats Quality Time
Times spent with family are really precious. Today’s fast paced life has really taken away those simple moments when a family would have dinner together, talk about what happened during their day and update each one of what’s going on in school or in the office. These moments have been replaced with video games and movies and cold dinners. It’s really quite a rare occasion when family members get together just to have a meal.
That is why in most families, family members need to make a commitment to spend at least one day a month to get together for a picnic or a barbecue. They try to do it outdoors so that they are taken out of their comfort zones, away from television or internet access. They prepare the food and pack them in picnic backpacks. Food prepared by them, which also serves as bonding time for parents and children. During these Sunday picnics, there are times when it’s really difficult to get a table at the park. Sometimes families need an extra table to put their belongings on or other food that won’t fit in the picnic table.
