Your parents are not getting any younger and while you are feeling great, go out together! Have a picnic, better yet, go on a trip. Everything can be arranged. You just have to know what you want to do.

 

If you are going on a trip, make sure you book them to either a place where they could go on an adventure or go somewhere that is dear to them, like a home province. If they are immigrants, take them to the place where they were born—their home country.

 

If you have a problem with money and cannot afford to go on a trip, a day at the picnic table would also work wonders. Make it special by getting a Chardonnay picnic basket for 2. Tell her how much you adore and love her, and she will respond to it very well. Let her tell you the stories you have heard over and over again. Make her the center of attention once again despite her old age, at least for that afternoon. Watch the sunset and get a good picture of you and your mom. Something for her album and for an extra memory to take as she goes on with her daily life.
